Comedian Inday Garutay criticized Vice Ganda for his apparently disrespectful statement about UNA senatorial candidate Nancy Binay.
Vice Ganda mentioned the name of Vice-President Jejomar Binay’s daughter on Monday when asked if he has any plans to pursue a career in public service.
“Gusto ko president ako agad,” Vice Ganda said, “‘Yung wala kang background, pero mataas agad, parang ‘yung mga pulitiko lang ngayon. Walang background, pero senador agad.”
Asked if he is referring to any senatorial bets in particular, the 37-year-old comedian said, “Sila Nancy Binay, sino pa ba?”
The comedian clarified that what he is saying is a fact and not a swipe to Binay.
On Thursday, Christopher Borja also known as Inday Garutay, reacts on the statements of Vice Ganda saying, “Malaki ang pinagkaiba ng prangka sa bastos.”
“Dapat buksan mo muna isipan mo bago ang bibig mo,” Borja told ABS-CBN News.
Borja was well-known as the impersonator of the late Inday Badiday. He insisted that Nancy Binay was merely used by Vice Ganda to stir attention as his solo concert on May 17 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
“Kawawa naman si Ma’am Nancy, nagagamit sa publicity ng kanyang (Vice Ganda) concert,” Borja said.
Borja added, “Mag-work na lang siya nang tahimik… kasi gusto niya laging maingay, e.”
Binay, who worked as her father’s personal assistant and as deputy secretary general of UNA prior to her Senate bid, has said she respects Vice Ganda’s opinion.
